Education is the key to building future industry leaders. We know Kansas educators are dedicated to developing our current workforce and future leaders, both in the classroom and beyond.



Pork in the Schools

We have partnered with the Kansas Pork Association to offer "Pork In the Schools" funding opportunities. Educators that complete the application are eligible to receive $75 in funds that can be used to purchase pork for classroom labs. 


Beef Certificate Program 

The Kansas Beef Council provides funds to Family and Consumer Science classrooms throughout the state of Kansas.

The funds are made available to purchase beef products to teach beef cookery. In addition to the financial support, classroom education materials are available free of charge to F.A.C.S. teachers. Click here for more information.

 As an educator, you have access to trusted resources and opportunities to further your restaurant and foodservice industry knowledge. 


ServSafe Train-the-Trainer

If you would like to become a registered ServSafe manager instructor, this class provides an opportunity to take the instructor exam.  It also provides an opportunity to recertify if your certification has expired.  This class is for FACS educators, post-secondary students majoring in FACS education and K-State Extension professionals only.  The ServSafe manager is an industry recognized certification that is valid for 5 years.  

When: June 1, 2016

Where: KRHA office, Wichita

Time: 8:15 - 6:00 

Cost: $105 (includes book, instruction & exam)

Culinary Academy

This training is for secondary educators and post-secondary students majoring in FACS education that are seeking an opportunity for continuing professional development.  Hosted by the KRHA Education Foundation.
