Fundraiser Hosted by KRHA Education Foundation to Celebrate the Restaurant and Hospitality Industry

Wichita, KS -- 10/22/2015 --The Educational Foundation of the Kansas Restaurant and Hospitality Association (KRHAEF) will be hosting their annual Evening of Hospitality event Monday, Oct. 26, from 6-9 p.m at the DoubleTree by Hilton Wichita Airport.
The evening's itinerary includes: a social with cocktails and appetizers; an award ceremony; and gourmet food prepared by Chef Larry Walker, with the assistance of high school culinary students from the ProStart program — an incredible opportunity to see career and technical education at work. The event will wrap up with an opportunity for attendees to network during a silent auction.
This year's menu will feature a variety of food stations including, carved meats, seafood, fondue and sliders, as well as passed appetizers. An eclectic arrangement of desserts will be offered.
Each dish will be paired with wine and beer sponsored by the LDF Companies. The highlight of the evening will be the "Stars of the Industry" awards, which celebrates the recipient's accomplishments and dedication to the industry.

- Mentor of the Year – Matthew Robinson, Holiday Inn, Wichita
- Allied Member of the Year - Bill Goodlatte, The LDF Companies, Wichita

- Restaurateur of the Year – Neal Stong, NuWay, Wichita
- Hall of Fame – Chuck Magerl, Free State Brewing Company & WheatFields Bakery and Café, Lawrence

All money raised from this fundraising event will support the Educational Foundation of the Kansas Restaurant & Hospitality Association, which is recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
